Newgrange Farm is situated on 333 acres in the beautiful Boyne Valley, Co. Meath and run by Farmer Bill. This is a real working farm offering visitors the opportunity to experience everyday life on a farm. You can interact with the animals whether it's petting, feeding or grooming. You can also get an idea of life on a farm in the olden days by visiting the rural life museum and the blacksmith's forge. Special events such as the Teddy Bear's Picnic and Scarecrow Day are held throughout the year.

Groups:

Groups of both adults and children are welcome and MUST be pre-booked and is tailor made to the groups requirements, i.e. archaeological, technical farm walks, environmental studies, school or university course tours, and fun tours for Summer Projects, Girl Guides, Scouts, I.C.A. groups, Church uutings, active retirement groups, etc...

Admission Prices (2010):

  • General Admission: €8.00 per person
  • Family Tickets:
    €12.00 - 2 people
    €18.00 - 3 people
    €24.00 - 4 people
    €30.00 - 5 people
  • Special Events Days: €8.00 per person (Please note there are no family tickets on these special event days)
  • Tractor Trailer Ride (when available) €2.00 extra per person
  • School Tours/Groups - must be pre-booked - €9.00 per person - 1 Teacher or adult free per 10 pupils

Directions:

Take the M1 to the Slane exit and then the N51 towards Slane for approx 4½ miles OR take the N2 or N51 to Slane or the N1 to Drogheda. Then the Slane - Drogheda section of the N51 approx 3 miles from Slane or 5½ miles from Drogheda.
Newgrange Farm is well signposted off the N51. Do NOT follow the Newgrange Bru na Boinne signs, only follow the Newgrange Farm signs.
Visitors visiting the area via Bru na Boinne visitor centre may also break their journey off the national monuments bus to visit the Farm.
