Beaulieu house is a very special place, home to the same family since 1650, a true gem and rare survivor of Irelands Heritage. A leading tourist attraction in county Louth situated within the heart of the Boyne Valley. Enjoy guided tours of the house and family history, four acres of walled garden and the Museum containing a collection of Classic race and road cars with memorabilia.

This garden dates back furthest to the 1600’s and both the house and the garden have survived the test of time very well. Beaulieu’s terraced gardens simply embellish the view of the Boyne estuary from the raised area.  The walled garden is a strong feature here with an abundance of fruit and vegetables in season.  This is just one of the many varied elements of gardening which create the overall enjoyable effect. The Dutch design of Beaulieu House is unique (to Ireland), imposing a magical effect on the visitor providing a lasting memory.

Gabriel DeFreitas of Beaulieu House – has a very established career in motor racing under the name of Gabriel Konig. Achievements in the late sixties and early seventies rank her in the top two Irish lady drivers Now returned to live at her native Beaulieu – Gabriel has assembled a collection of Historic Classic racing and rally saloons to form the main stay of the new car museum - open to the public as part of the house tour options. Visitors will also be able to relive events of the past through the collection of photographs, programmes, press cuttings and documents filling the walls of the Museum.

  • 1st May until 14th September
  • Monday to Friday 11.00 - 17.00 (Tours commence on the hour)
  • Weekends 13.00 to 17.00 - July & August only
