Military Museum

Millmount Museum and Martello Tower are located at Millmount in the centre of Drogheda, Co. Louth overlooking the historic river Boyne. The area is rich in heritage dating back over 3,000 years while the town itself is over 800 years old.
 
It is the oldest surviving man made structure in the town with a dramatic history and many stories to tell. Young or old, what ever your interests, you will enjoy a warm welcome and a great day out. You can experience the museum and tower by yourself or take part in one of the guided tours. there is alos a walking tour of the town which requires a minimum of 8 people. The tour takes in Millmount, the Boyne Viaduct, the Thosel, St Peter's Church of Ireland Churchyard, Magdalene Tower, the Old Cornmarket, St Peter's Church, St Oliver Plunkett's Shrine, St Laurence's Gate, Whitworth Hall and Drogheda Grammar School, finishing with a tour of the new Highlanes Gallery.

Opening Times:

The Museum is open all year except for Christmas Holidays (December 24th to January 1st inclusive)
Monday - Saturday: 9.30am - 5.30pm
Sundays and Bank Holidays: 2pm - 5pm

Please note last tours are 60 minutes before closing
